Accommodations

The Library Company has reserved single rooms for participants with a shared kitchen and bathroom at International House at the University of Pennsylvania, a short bus ride, or a 2 mile walk to Center City.   The cost in 2017 will be $750 per person, which includes a fee for linens.

This summer seminar takes place in an urban setting. Although there will be plenty of opportunities to walk through college campuses or along the Schuylkill river, this is not a campus experience and there is no meal plan. There is a supermarket two blocks from International House. Both International House and the Library Company itself are located in areas with many options for inexpensive eating out. International House hosts various evening events as well. While some people may opt to find alternative housing we strongly urge participants to stay at International House since much of the seminar experience often takes place outside of the sessions themselves.
