Civil War Collections now on Flickr

With the advent of the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War, the Library Company’s volunteer intern, Brett Tobias, has been busy uploading Civil War imagery from the McAllister Collection onto our Flickr website. He has selected about fifty images including views of military camps, battlefields, and soldiers, giving our collections a greater online presence than they already have on ImPAC, our digital collections catalog. Flickr is a unique Google searchable website where users can add comments, select favorites, and add images to specific subject groups, giving users the opportunity to further identify and categorize images. We hope to upload additional collections onto Flickr in the near future. Please stop by the Library Company’s Flickr website to see more.
