Historical Happy Hour: “Mom-osas” and the Surprising History of Mother’s Day

Thursday, May 4th, at 7:00 pm

Virtual Event

Members: Free, Nonmembers: $10

We celebrate Moms every May, but the history behind the holiday is surprisingly dramatic (and rooted in Philadelphia!). Join us for a delicious “Mom-osa” and learn more about Ann Jarvis, Anna Jarvis, and Julia Ward Howe and their work to recognize the mothers (and mother figures) in our lives. The ingredient list for our cocktail (and mocktail) will be sent roughly two weeks before the event.
