The Intern in Cataloging will receive a general introduction to working in a special collections library with emphasis on rare book cataloging and legacy record clean-up. Projects will be determined by cataloging staff based on the experience and interest of the intern, and may include:

- Updating and improving existing catalog records
- Shifting and reorganization of collection materials
Desired skills include attention to detail and visual acuity, conscientious handling of fragile materials, a basic understanding of cataloging, and familiarity with integrated library systems. The intern will work with cataloging staff, including Cataloger and LGBTQ+ Subject Specialist, Em Ricciardi, and will be supervised by Head of Cataloging, Arielle Rambo.
A stipend of $5000 is available for a 10 week period, 3 days a week, between June and August 2025. The intern will be required to work on site in Center City Philadelphia.
