A complementary program to the exhibition Imperfect History: Curating the Graphic Arts Collection at Benjamin Franklin’s Public LibraryImperfect History is a candid exploration of the history of the social dynamics and cultural biases affecting the construction of an American popular graphic arts collection developed  within one of the oldest cultural institutions in the country. Exhibition curators Sarah Weatherwax and Erika Piola will have a conversation with Librarian Emily Guthrie about her “reading” of and insights about the exhibition and the graphic arts collection during her first year as Librarian.
