Imperfect History Online Exhibition is now live!
The Imperfect History curatorial team is pleased to announce that the online exhibition of Imperfect History: Curating the Graphic Arts Collection at Benjamin Franklin’s Public Library is now live. Designed by Barb Barnett and Grace Chi, the online exhibition provides an engaging virtual experience with the six sections, two timelines, and video on view at the Library Company. The virtual format also includes items viewable exclusively online that further explore the exhibition’s overarching theme of the historical and cultural biases affecting the evolution of the creation and curation of the graphic arts collection at the Library over nearly 300 years.
We also invite you to explore recent press coverage about the exhibition.
Imperfect History: Curating the Graphic Arts Collection at Benjamin Franklin’s Public Library is open free to the public Monday to Friday, 9AM-4:30PM.
Imperfect History is supported by the Henry Luce Foundation, Walter J. Miller Trust, Center for American Art, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Jay Robert Stiefel and Terra Foundation for American Art.
